FIELD TRIP INTO HISTORY Cain’s Crossing Renaissance Faire brings History Teachers and Homeschool parents an incredible opportunity to combine learning and merriment. We invite you and your students to travel on a field trip back in time to a shady glen in Merry Olde England called Cain’s Crossing.
If it is not feasible for your school to make a field trip to the Faire (or your students are homeschooled) they can still participate in the passport program with their families. In this case, teachers can offer an incentive (such as extra credit) for students to bring their completed passports to school. Since a visit to our Faire is the perfect way to reinforce California Department of Education curriculum standards for 7th grade history/social studies, we are offering a Student Passport program for middle-school students who are studying the Renaissance.
Students will find special signs at various locations throughout the Faire, where the answers to the 10 questions/activities can be found. After each activity the student’s passport will be stamped. Teachers can offer incentives for completed passports. |
