Guild Information

Thank you for your interest in participating as a guild for the 2008 Cain's Crossing Renaissance Faire. We greatly appreciate your commitment to furthering the education of our students in the Auburn area through your direct participation in the Cain's Crossing Renaissance Faire.

The purpose of the Cain's Crossing Renaissance Fair is to enhance the education of the students through an entertaining living history experience within the time period. This will balance the education process with real actors and vendors and make the education process more real and firmly fixed in the students minds. This three day event, which coincides with their school curriculum, will offer hands on activities, resource materials and most certainly entertainment for everyone who attends.

As you know, Cain's Crossing is entirely run by volunteers who give tirelessly to bring the Renaissance experience to Auburn and to raise money for the Auburn Education Foundation. It is a labor of love, but Cain's Crossing needs your help and the help of your guild to keep it going. Every guild is strongly encouraged to support Cain's Crossing by having it's members volunteer in the many volunteer opportunities we have, such as; initial set up of the grounds on Wednesday, May 7th, school day set up on Thursday, May 8th, Friday school day and also during the faire. What's more, there are several opportunities long before the opening of faire, such as; assisting with the coordination of the faire, work days for props and buildings, hanging posters and signs in the weeks before the faire and assistance with workshops in March. Please contact Suzzette Clothier at volunteers@cainscrossing.org or Joyce Silva at fridayparents@cainscrossing.org to participate.
