


Faire Conduct and Actor's Camp 2008 Cain's Crossing Renaissance Faire Hours of Operation: Children Only School Day, Friday May 9th, 2008 8:00am to 2:00pm Faire Days: Open to the public, Saturday May 10th, 2008 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday May 11th, 2008 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Place: Auburn Regional Park on 3880 Richardson Drive, Auburn, California 95603 Faire Conduct and Actor's Camp 1. All participants must be in period Elizabethan costume during the operating hours of faire. At a minimum, all costumes should comply with the CIRGA costume guidelines and must include shirts, shoes and underclothes. No cross dressing, horns, whips or other flogging implements. This faire is a benefit for children and your costume should be a reflection of that. 2. Notes will be at 9:00 a.m. on each day of faire. 3. No guild, vendor, food vendor may begin to take down its encampment before 5:00 p.m., Sunday. 4. All weapons must be sheathed of peace tied at all times during and after Faire hours. Weapons may be carried unsheathed, in proper parade form for processions. It is the mid- 1590's. Black powder weapons are not to be fired without prior approval of the Site Coordinator, Chris Atkinson and Fire Marshall. Anyone drawing a weapon on another actor or patron unexpectedly will be removed from faire and, if appropriate, reported to law enforcement authorities. 5. Minors under 21 years of age are prohibited from consuming, purchasing, or handling alcoholic beverages. Controlled substances are strictly prohibited on the faire site and surrounding environs. Anyone caught with such substances will be turned over to the police and denied readmission to the faire. Drunken, unruly or lewd behavior will result in immediate removal from faire grounds. 6. No pets are allowed in at faire. The only animals allowed are working ones, such as seeing-eye dogs or those integral to a show. Anyone bringing an unauthorized animal onsite will be ejected from the faire along with the animal. Any animal bites will be reported to Animal Control. 7. Auburn Regional Park and Cain's Crossing Renaissance Faire is a non-smoking site. Cigarette smoking is prohibited except in specified smoking areas. We ask that costumed performers never smoke cigarettes in view of patrons. 8. Off duty police officers will provide security; but the faire is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please secure your possessions. 9. Each encampment must have a current certified fire extinguisher in an easily accessible location. This is a fire district regulation and the Fire Marshal will be checking to be sure that everyone complies. Please come prepared. 10. Actors' camp directly borders a residential neighborhood by within a few meters and is a QUIET ZONE from 10:00 pm until 6:00am. There is a campground less than ½ mile from the faire site and numerous other places to congregate and carouse. 12. No minors will be allowed to attend the faire without a signed parent's treatment consent permission form with their guildmaster/guildmistress. 13. Guildmasters/guildmistresses are responsible for their group and for making sure their guild members are familiar with these rules and regulations. 14. Vehicles will be allowed on site for unloading until one hour before the faire. 15. Important: Actor's camp is not accessible to vehicles after the start of faire. There will be no exiting once you are parked in actor's camp. Don't park there if you need to come and go during your off hours. Make other arrangements. 16. No open fires or flames or fire dancing etc. You will be in an area with a lot of dry brush and grasses. 17. To enter the faire via gate list is to agree to abide by these rules and regulations. Acknowledgement: All participantss agree to indemnify, defend, and hold the Auburn Recreation District and Cain's Crossing Renaissance Faire harmless from any and all loss, damage, or injury to any person or property before, during or after the faire. I have informed all guild members who will be attending the faire of these rules and we agree to be bound by these rules and the rules in the participant waiver. ________________________________________________________________________ |
