Greetings M'Lord or M'Lady, The Cain's Crossing Renaissance Group is so very pleased to invite you to the Cain's Crossing Renaissance Faire to be held on May 11th, 12th and 13th of 2007. The Cain's Crossing Group is an all-volunteer assemblage of people who have assisted in operation of the E.V.Cain School for the previous three years and have now come together to expand the faire in many different ways. The development will include more Renaissance reenactment guilds, roving actors, entertainers and vendors. Because the Faire has evolved from a school setting, emphasis will be placed on education through experience. As a crafter or seller of goods or wares that are appropriate for the Renaissance time period, we are inviting you to share your craft, art, goods or wares as a seller in the marketplace in the township of Cain's Crossing. The Renaissance marketplace of Cain's Crossing will be filled with sellers of all kinds and crafters and actors and musicians all jubilant upon the arrival of her most gracious Queen Elizabeth. Every single vendor of food, drink or goods, every single actor, musician and presenter, and every single booth and encampment will be dressed and/or decorated in a style appropriate to the Renaissance time period without exception. We hope you will join us in presenting a piece of the enigmatic time period known as the Renaissance. Already receiving great support from E.V. Cain Middle School students and parents, the Auburn Education Foundation, the Auburn Recreation District and the community as a whole, this event promises to continue to grow and become a favorite Auburn tradition. If participating in Renaissance Faires is new to you, we provide workshops free of charge to assist you in period dress and speech and decor.
